OBIT FROM STATESMAN

Lance Sterling Lane passed away on Monday, Sept. 26, 2005 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 3026 Crane Creek Road in Boise on Friday, Sept. 30, 2005 from 5 to 8 p.m. for family and friends. Lance was born March 25, 1961 in Nyssa, Ore. to Leo and Linda Lane. Lance grew up in Nyssa, graduating from Nyssa High School. Lance attended Treasure Valley Community College on a track scholarship and later went on to attend the University of Oregon, later graduating from Boise State University. Lance worked for the Bureau of Land Management for 18 years as a wildland fire fighter and later in fire rehabilitation. Lance worked for Bogus Basin Ski Patrol for a couple of seasons. Lance loved to ride motorcycles, enjoying rides with his dad and friends. He loved working on his house and building things. Lance loved animals, especially his own, Elvis and Chloe. He was a very generous and giving man who was always there when you needed someone. Lance is survived by his parents Leo and Linda; two sisters, Lori Hall and Leslie Lane McMichael; one brother, Landon Lane; and his best friends, Tracey Bajt and Guy Orozco. Lance will be very much missed by his family and friends. He was loved more than he could ever know. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Idaho Humane Society.
